Hello. Attached are two images. I have a model that includes a huge suspended 4-unit light fixture. It's, more or less, a rectangular solid with an opening in the center (as you can see from my attached render-in-progress). It's just a solid mass, materialized with a 2-Sided Vray Material and a Gray color for translucency. In it are 4 rectangular lights. Right now the lights are double-sided and aren't invisible. When they were invisible, the light was way too soft and undefined - the result was just a glowing, nearly transparent fixture. Also, the "force-one-side" box is unchecked. I tried checking it and it seemed to make the fixture even more transparent.
My issue is this: I'm trying to achieve the actual lamp shade effect, based on the second image i included, where the light is strong towards the bottom and there's a nice gradient of light upwards. The light is very blurry inside.
Any suggestions with this? I'm working against a deadline and would appreciate any help at all...even if its just a single comment about what i should/should not do.
Thanks for anything/everything in advance.
