First time I've done a render that I'm happy to post here. It was a little rushed, cos we were very pressed for time, but i'm fairly pleased with it.



Trying to find a good tutorial at the moment on how to make my foliage look more realistic. I never had success with things like trees, plants, grass etc. I suspect it could be better to do them in Photoshop, especially considering things like render times etc, but if anyone has any suggestions on good tutorials or methods for trees, plants, grass, that would be great. (especially trees and plants actually. )

nice work neil, its well lit and the materials aren't too bad. I suggest u tweak the curves on photoshop to really make the image pop. Also the scale looks strange on certain things (eg. the door, cups and ceiling fans).
In terms of high poly trees, i don't think anybody has truely cracked a photo-real natural looking tree yet thats actually useable within Sketchup but theres some good stuff here on sketchucation.. http://forums.sketchucation.com/view...p?f=15&t=30737

Is very noce but still need to work out with lights and reflections a little bit more....
