  • Volk Racing CE28 N Genesis

    Hey guys,

This is a model i recently made of the Volk Racing CE28 N Genesis.
I am a high school student and a self taught Rhino and Vray user so i would really appreciate any constructive criticism or tips you guys might have

These are a few of the renders i have done so far:

So yea...tell me what you think and i would really appreciate and tips etc.

    Thanks for your help

    Wow!!

This is really good! And I am very curious about your settings.

The materials also look really good!

The only thing I can come up with is that the tire material could be a little bit more "matte" material. But if you take a detailed picture of a tire you can make this picture the best. Then you see the small flaws ar real tyre texture shows.

    Now it is already outstanding!

    Kind regards,

    Martin

              Hi guys,

Thanks for all the comments, hope everyone had a great christmas

Yea i agree i think this would improve it considerably, i will give it a try and see what it looks like

I also made a quick 360 animation of the model but the free accounts on photobucket dont let me upload swf files :\
Anyone know of a site that i can use in the same way as photobucket and link the files here???

              Thanks for all your help

                Hi Jarrod,

Impressive Model, and great renders... and yes the tire material is kind of "fake", but is good...

You can upload your videos in http://vimeo.com/, I think that is possible to upload swf files.

                Best,

I love the rim material and the render. You could improve the tire material and also the model. The tire look kind of flat in the border. Maybe more blending with the side of the tire.
                      Very well done!

thanks for all your comments guys

yea i think everyone is right about the tyre, both material and model.
im going to make a new one of the Yokohama S.Drive, or close to it (the one posted by fpedrogo above)
ill give it a go and see what difference that makes

what is the best way to achieve the best looking tyre wall in your opinion? like the logo etc? is it best to actually model it or just use a bump map???

thanks for all your help, ill post the result when im done and see what you think

Hey i have a series of 3 videos that can help you with the tire side blending. I use Flow along surface, I model the whole tire flat and then use flow along surface.
