not the biggest of images to view....

couple of wayward guesses.... does the rect light cut through your geometry? if yes... make sure its not intervening with any modelling. although i doubt this is the problem

are you using emissive materials? looks like the yellow glow is a material with emissive properties... emissive materials when used for lighting cause problems. lower these values considerably, and either up your rect light value or alter your camera settings.

    hope it helps

i think you are talking about the dark areas in the corners of the image. you are using physical camera, so go to the physical camera settings and turn off vignetting.

but i am not sure if that is the problem that you have with this image.

Re: problems with lightning - wip

        hi all,

im a student and render on my laptop so i cant create big images ... ;D
problem was that i had some double geometries i think.
now its ok but i have some problems with glass touching the wall - see image please.

        using now

        gi irmap medium (loaded file)
        phys camera
        emmessive material
vray sun (not much light because windows are north sided)
        rect light (mult 1)

maybe u could help me to improve the glas
any tips appreciated - big thankx

Re: problems with lightning - wip

Your scene, have light deficit ( insufficient light). Firstable, you should improve that, and than the other things. Also, if your computer is not powerful, then you might change the render engines. In your case, IM +LC is a good solution.

          Good luck,
          Alex

Re: problems with lightning - wip

            hi,
            i followed your tip

            ir map -3/2 , 100/40
            light cache

no phys camera because its too dark then

so it renders faster but you see its not a good render.
turned off vray sun because doesnt affect anything, only have rect ligt on top mult 1.1
here you see the problems ...

            edge in foreground disappears,
rect light is slightly under the ceiling to prevent geometries toucing -> but givs an dark area

            thx very much

Try to put a rectangular light in the window and i think you could have some spot lights in the ceiling.

              Just a tought.

Re: problems with lightning - wip

if you use Sun you can put it as a map in the back ground, also increase the GI if you are using P.Camera. in what units are you modeling your scene? the rectangular do you have rectangular lights? are they been used with decay? for the light leaks are the Clamp output and subpixel options on in the color mapping section? in the irradiance map the check sample visibility option on? for rectangular light you can use also the double side check box in the light properties.

PD: also i don't think this post is made in the wrong topic, it should be in the public area. When you finish it you can post it here.
