Re: "shawn's gallery"
shawn i like your work bro, you are improving a lot, but i have some feedback, maybe the postpro is too much, maybe less chromatic aberration and also improve a little your DOF technique, but i have to say i like the images, as a matter of fact i have always been a fan of images with a lot of postpro and this kind of effects, ....just remember sometimes less is more, in the case of postpro this is very true. Congrats for your works!!

Re: "shawn's gallery"
Hi Shawn.
To be honest i totally agree with the image post production, it gives a plus in the realism. Many ppl think that the renders must be perfect and clean when they are totally wrong. In true life nothing is perfect..so why make "perfect" renders. I think this is way simple ....Try to recreate the real life and that's it.
If you think about it you'll se that if you take a picture with a real camera .....how many things in that picture are perfect...almost none..most of the times you get chromatic aberration , blurry edges ..bla bla bla, just try to no exceed the post pro,ok?? Hoever..Great job.
Keep it up

Re: "shawn's gallery"
The work looks good overall.
Things that would need to adjust are the posr pro, excessive blur (some images seem to lose the scale and miniature scenes) the chromatic aberration in some other add details of modeling, change the camera position (to better show the space and images come out so badly burned) and the value shift lens, but on the whole subject of the post pro is what remains of the outcome of some images.

Re: "shawn's gallery"
hey shawn... if i may comment...
i agree with other comments about the post production, i think you use way too much vigneting.
in my general opinion, and let's say for example that we're talking about the very last image, the ambient looks a little bit dark... i think what' you're trying to achieve is an artistic render, isn't it?
also, may i ask how is your screen? let me tell you why...
i have a photoshop process, right after the render is finished, for that, i have a terrific screen, and each time i modify any value in photoshop, i notice the changes from one value to another, let's say, from 1 to -1... talking about saturation, for example... but when i work in other pc's, with not so good screens, i have to go to - 15 or -20 to see any changes... and in the end, for me the postproduction is the addition of a lot of very small improvements... do i make my point clear? hehelos campeones no nacen, se hacen...

Re: "shawn's gallery"
My screen is pretty fine, but i did both images at different times so i made the mood for the first two last images almost the same as you can see the tile and in the last image i made my tile abit more red and saturated, some images i cant post as i am not allowed to but these were fine. but only on older computers i notice my images are darker but on everything new computer my images are the same imo. i will work on all the images you guys are now seeing in my gallery, i have every file and every setting, so in the upcoming months i will be making all changes gradually, i really have learnt alot the past year, thanks for all your comments guys, and where you like my images feel free to say so too. i really want specific comments on specific images though, so i can work at each one at a time and i will know how to improve what and what not to change. though alot of these works were done when i was just learning vray so now i think i have a better grasp on how to use this software. thanks again my friends!
