  • First render in Vray WIP

Hi guys this is my first serious attempt at rendering in Vray, this has taking me around 8hrs on and off from start to finish. Its not flash by any means and could do with a lot more work, but i thought id post what i have so far.

Its full HDRI background and lighting which im quite chuffed about, still not got the hang of it, but im sure that will come in time.

Anyway here is the scene in question. Comments and criticism most welcome.

Re: First render in Vray WIP

It's pretty good as a starting point.
First I would reposition the camera, at the moment composition needs an improvement. Than I would add a lot more light in to the scene. Don't be afraid, double all the light parameters , I find that it's always easier to go crazy high and then reduce it instead of going up step by step. Material on the shelf of the coffee table and on the coffee table legs can definitely use and improvement, just add some subdivs that should help you to fight the noise.

agree with Skif, needs more light into the space, ceilling lights ect, rooms looks empty, needs more furniture, with the projector- can be recessed into the ceiling, nice detail though.
