    Hello

I could use some help to try and make this images sharper. I just can´t do it, almost giving up on vray.

    Settings:

    AA adaptive sub -1,2

    IR preset Medium
    HSph Subdivs 50
    Interp Samp 25

    Secondary sub 2, depth 10

I´m using vray lights and direct light for sun, with environment override

    thanks

    Guilherme,

First could you post a screen shot of your scene to see your setup. I cant see where your direct light is coming from. Are you using Vray lights in the sliders? If so are they set to invisible?

Are the light coves you have on the ceiling indirect lighting or is that coming from the direct (sun) lighting through the roof?

I would add a smoothing modifier to your couches.

I would also bevel some of your wood to make it more real life or add some cushions to the seating, maybe red to bring in some color from your painting.

I would add a displacement modifier to the carpet.

It looks like you have a light source in your freestanding light in the corner. However, it looks like a raytrace material is assigned to it, therefore the splotchyness.

Thge second image, above the door......It looks like you have a free floating box....???!!!

I would add some color or colors to the walls as well.

Its a great start, its always in the final touches that dont make it look realistic.

I think you settings are fine, its a lack of definition in the model, I think.....

I look forward to seeing the updated images...

      Thanks arkitec for your help!

I think your are right, maybe it is a lack of detail in the model and materials.

All my vray lights are invisible.

The light coves on the celing have sun light and vray light as well

About the floor, It´s a sintetic floor, not a carpet, i don´t like it, but it was the architect choise, and he gave me the map, so...

I don´t know why, but i just can´t make the wall white, even if i turn off all the furniture.

Here are images from my scene

      Thanks again

Are you using skylight portals at the windows and clearstory?

About the walls, you could turn up the GI recieve in the object settings in Vray System rollout to make brighter...

I´m not using skylight, i´m using normal vray lights, because as I read in this forum, it seams that normal vray lights are faster than skylight portals.

I´ll try turning the GI for the walls up. I turned the wood objects GI down, because the room was completly brown because of reflect.

          Thanks

Also for added sharpness...use catmull-rom as the AA filter not area

            C if that helps

you must see your direct sun anyway. Turn off GI for fast testing. Check affect shadows in glass material. Check vray shadows for direct. Check radius in your direct. Try to hide windows for test. Find your sun

Nidoe, how do you use catmull-rom as the AA filter in vray?
I believe it works only with scanline, where is it in vray?
                  Thanks

right under your "image sampler" settings - and it works well w/ vray...
