Coffee machine

Hi everybody!

Just downloaded the V-ray 30day trial. I used one of my SU models to play with some of V-ray's functions. As I am new to this software it's all abracadabra to me at this stage. Watching lots of tutorials at the moment to 'understand' the workflow a bit.

Any feedback is welcome of course!

Haha...I rendered before but never with software this 'advanced'. I watched the tutorials on 'reflection layers' and started with that for now!

I'm really impressed with your power cord! I've been trying to model one in SU and just can't get it to look natural. Do you make splines and then do a followMe? or how do you make yours?

First I set out the path by using several curved lines (making one line). Then simply adding with the 'circle tool' the desired diameter circle on one end and finishing with the 'follow me tool' like you said. I think the success factor is getting the path (curves) right...the actual power cord is quite rigid, if you make the curves to too small it might not reflect the desired result.

I really like the model & the render.

Maybe, you should work a little bit on wood (bump)
