Something I've been pottering about with in my free time recently.

Still not 100% convinced she's finished, but probably going to call it a day & move onto something new

I like the mood, but specialy the shader(s) for the hair.
Could you elaborate a little, or mabee it is just your light rig that gives it that look. Love the half cartoon look of theses materials.. congrats on the great job

I like it very much, it's also a refreshing break from what we usually see on the forums..

Thanks for a the kind words!

For anyone who is interested, here are some more images of the model from ZBrush. I started out with a couple of ZSpheres & then retopologised everything in Max. The topology is not great (especially around the mouth) but I'm not going to animate her so it's not hugely important.

            Thanks again!

looks great, love the sss and the expression. i think the hair could coukd be done a bit better, you can repeat the shape but with actual hair that would give more volume and add more to the image.

                      Thanks all!

Dmitry - I know what you're saying about the hair. I did toy with the idea of putting actual hair on her but I didn't want to get too bogged down in trying to make her look 'real'. Plus I did it for fun and styling hair is the the exact opposite of fun in my book!

Looks really great, How'd you do the hair? Did you extract mesh from the head and start sculpting? A for awesome.

Yep, I extracted a selection from the head in Zbrush & pulled it around for the hair - as you can imagine it got pretty messy! So after I was happy with th overall shape, I traced over some much cleaner topology in 3ds max & carried on with that.
