  • reception - EARLY WIP

    hello all,

    here's a reception area I'm working on - it's still an early WIP and lots of work needs to be done on it from a reflection stand point - more glossies - but c&c are more then welcome!!!

    let me know....

    EDIT: I know RPCs suck - they wanted them at last minute though.....

    Hi Cocolas,

    The camara position looks strange, but I understand that you need to show the reception desk... That position gives a very high importance to the spotlights, and I would increse the GI detail there using a higher Dist threshold amount, 2 or 3 can fix this. I would avoid to use so high interpolation values too.

    Other than that and apart from RPC, looks very good!

      yeah i agree with Goncalo.... you need to lower the eye level to around 1650mm.... that should put it right for an average Joe.
      I know im a sucker for em, but i would use some ies lights on the back wall and the corparate logo wall, makes a lot of difference.
      image looks good bye the way.

        thanks guys!!

        yeah the camera is a bit higher in order to show the reception better....and yeah right now trhe imap is at -4/-1 w/ Hspsubdv = 25
        and interpolation = 20
        mostly for testing purposes.....

        the blur you see Goncalo is not from a high interpolation but from a slight blur filter in Pshop.....I don't like my renderings too crisp.....

        for the final I'll bump those higher.....

        natty: you're right about IES, i haven't experimented w/ them yet, but I think this would be a good project to try'em on - plus if i remember right you wrote a little tute about them so it should be too bad to try them....
