i have too many trees. this is an animation, projector map is not possible. everything on the rpc.net doesn't help. thank you anyway. just wonder if you guys had the same problem before... i got an error pop-up when rendering every 30-40 frames. and those are not hi angle at all. i think it just vray n rpc doesn't get along with each other... anyway, thank you.

if u hv too many trees, goto ur top view, do a screen capture to pin point the location of the trees, then draw a bitmap with shadows corresponding to the tree location, then pop in the projector map, its not gonna hurt ur rendering time alot at all. Done it many times over. I QC'ed for RPC before. There's a tutorial to make projector maps in RPCnet, look for it.

RPC will mess up if u try changing them to VrayMtrl and copying them as instances (sometimes as a copy too), there's a 'RPCrepair script' that works to correct this (but it was written for Max 3.1 many yrs ago, not sure if it will work for 5.1), but if the RPC are messed up, u probably hv to delete and replace them.
