  • Wall Artwork

I've been approached by a designer/artist who wants to produce wall pieces like the attached. They're made from metal of various types and finishes and internally lit with LEDs.
The beauty about this is, I can pretty much do what I want outside of the artwork itself. I'm free to mess around with dirty textures and gritty scenery if I want.

The two attached images are the first off the press.

Any C&C would be very welcome.

    Thanks

      Thanks.

Yeah, you're right about the HDRI. They're Peter Guthries '0902 overcast' and '2118 dusk moon' but I've also added a vray plane to the window to increase the definition of the shadows.

          Nice Work!

IMO the artwork needs to take up more of the image.....that's what your selling.

Have you tried other angles??? The one you have looks a bit too formal. this angle also makes the floor boards look a bit to distracting. Go crazy...try everything....especially when you are given the opportunity by the client....lol this doesn't happen very often.

Also try to get some more highlight/reflection on the artwork so we see it's rusty metal

          Hope this helps

Great images, agree with 3DMK, but also, my eye keeps getting draw to the lounge below it - I think mainly because its so square.

              Oooooh, tough crowd huh?

Seriously, thanks for the comments. They're very much appreciated. There will be a number of these yet, so I'll take on board what's been said and apply them to the next ones. The first image is actually one of my favourite renders. The lighting style is something I've been trying to achieve but never quite got it right, until now. (IMO)

The next piece is a stainless steel option, which will be in a much more modern, clean setting. I'll post it when it's done.

              Thanks.
