Nice, but you need to have a flying fish in that bowl.
no "pick of the crop" for you Elf ? i was listening to Admerial Nelson on the radio. Soca sounding good.
i did not heard anything from RPB or gabby as yet.
Claude we need to invite Elf to TnT for par-rang this year.

lol wha de ras!. good to see trinidad and grenada here
elf try playing with the glass thickness(add more thickness) to get a feel as it sculpts towards the opening top ..... as you compose the shot also maybe moving it from the wall to where you have a room behind w/ some DOF, it will add visual interest to the shot. ... nice test

my usual GI settings get me through quite a few jobs using single frame method without flickering. but the edges on the magazine are flickering like crazy and the overhanging edge of the lace also flickers. Even when i cranked up some settings and render times went through the roof. Ill post a 27 frame test i did. maybe someone can help. the lace is a displacement map using the waterlevel cutoff

                  whats your AA setting?
try 1/8 or 1/16 should give you pretty steady edges

i think i was using 2/16 but its not AA flickering im seeing. its larger splotchy flickering which i take to be GI flickering. Inside the room are two vray lights setup as large softboxes.

my typical GI settings are IR and LC with IR being -3, -1 max min. 60, 30 HSphr and Interp and 0.3 for Clr, Nrm and Dist. In this case i cranked the Hsphr to 90 and Dist raised to 0.5. The LC settings are 1200 Subdivs and 0.0015 sample size with pre-filtering turned on and left at 10. these settings usually work quite well for me in most everything i do

no. just that they are pretty large rather than smaller spheres

                            right
                            try:
80/40 for the IM and (0.3,0.2,0.1) for the other three settings there
                            check sample visibility on
for LC go for 1500, sample at 0.02, prefilter 100 and check the retrace threshold at 1

                            see what it does
