    Hi Everybody,
Once saw a photo of a house on the Internet.
Then made this scene as I remember the house.
Don't know where it is, who designed it or who lives inside.
Not even sure if I remember the details correctly.

    Done in 3dsMax 2011+ Vray 2.10.01 + Photoshop 5.5

you got some talent! I love the footprints! How long did it take you? The mantel seems to be a little off, but everything else is spot-on, so I am sure it looks exactly like you want.

absolutely amazing ! and great attention to detail.
Lighting, modelling and materials are spot on.
The only crit is the fire. It doesn´t look that good, and there should be some light inside the fireplace too.
      But that´s nitpicking...

Stunning display of skills. Extremely well done. It is this rare combination of a picture that works both in its most minute parts and as a whole. You got both the tree and the forest picture-perfect, so to speak!
If I had to choose, though, I too would pick the day image (there is something strange happening to your grass plants and the desk lamp in the night images).

Awesome images, the timber and metal textures are fantastic, oh and the leather lounge.
The only think I would say is the night/dusk images lighting balance looks a bit off - the light of the fire doesn't seem to light the inside of the fireplace, but hey awesome no mater what.

              Cheers

Fantastic work! Love the dust on the floor ! Just the nigh (dusk) scene I think exterior should be a bit darker. Did you use IR or LC+BF ?

                  Wonderful!!

The only critcs concerned about the images with fire...I don't speak about fire but it should be better to do a specific lighting, now it seems you only darkned the first images and from my POV it doesn't work well.... after this beautiful...beautiful....beautiful...

I am not sure about how much it took. Probably it took about 2 weeks(but only in free time) apart from work and family. In fact, before ending this project, I had 2 tight and heavy deadlines which I had to work day and night without having time for this project. When I returned, I felt I lost my focus and interest and decide to publish as it is and move on to a new one.

I agree. Honestly speaking fire and the dusk image is a last minute image made for fun. It is a fake image created from the daylight render but not a new one. Actually there is lighting falling inside fireplace but there is the soot cause by the fume.

Hi Bertrand, I am very happy to hear such nice comments from you, one of my favorite artists . I enjoy your works extremely. Yes you are right about the night version. It happened because it is a very fast, last minute conversion from the day image.

                    Thanks.
Well I was trying to give the sooting effect but seems that I am a bit off at this point because this is one of the main things that distracts everyone.

                    Thanks a lot.
                    I used the IM+LC.
Well this one was that painful scene, I was making all the tests and struggling through bugs and trying to understand about the new behavior of the DMC sampler. BF+LC was causing my reflections very dark and very noisy renders.

excellent renderings, lighting is great as well as shaders but details that you have there is really makes the renderings looks very natural like a real photo
the orientation of the wood (door, furniture), is perfect, the dust on the floor make them even more realistic....architects(myself included) want super clean rendering (no dirt, dust ,etc), It takes out the main focus of residential design. (people).
