  • Helga Deen novel

After over 3 years of production let me present novel I was working on with Dario Picciau.
I was responsible for 3d environments (modeling, lighting, texturing) - interiors and exteriors.
Scenes were rendered in our beloved VRay of course and then stylized by Dario to look more painterly.
Soon I will also post making of with unprocessed renders.
So if you have IPad go and buy this grate novel and help starving artist

    Wow, that looks great.
How was it post processed? Looks like printed out and painted over with oil colors.
If I had an iPad I'd get it.

    Let us see the renders.

I thought I'd give you some feedback about your website.
You said several times that you're having trouble finding work etc.
Your portfolio is very good, but there is a problem with the diversity.
If you're trying to get, say, archviz job and a possible client goes to your website, he sees a coke can, TV, perfume bottles, etc.
He will be put off immediately or think that he got the wrong URL.

When clients are looking for a freelancer they have very clear expectations of how things should be presented.

      Consider that many clients have
-) no sense of humor, at least when it comes to the job
      -) no ability judging off-topic 3d work

What I'm trying to say, when some architect goes to your website, because you applied for a freelance archviz job, he sees hulk, it's likely that he will be like "why is this guy sending me a homepage with gay porn".
I'm pretty sure it would be better to create a website just for archviz, another for product images, etc.

        OK just for chaos members
They might be a bit dark but this was the light scheme how director wanted. I brightened it up a bit for preview here so I hope it looks okay.

kind of an old school type of person, but I'd much prefer to flip through pages which don't "live", instead of this tap and bring to life experience. the illustrations look great though, and the work you've done it's really quality. if I had an ipad I would surely support the artist

Yeah but you know how it is with "youngsters". we tried to make this sad part of human history more presentable for modern age young people.

yes, of course. and I'm sure that's the right thing to do, as publishing to a tablet you can reach much more people than you would otherwise. it's just that I'd love to see those printed on paper, but I guess I'm being nostalgic here..

NIce! renders itself are gr8, post processing gave it a totally different look but equally good.. this work is totally different frm arch viz i think.. it looks much more complicated..
