I prefer the close-up. The cheesy moon surface is a bit too uniform..

Hey thanks man!

Yep, the bird's eye view isn't very interesting, but it's just an impression of what the complex looks like when seen from above.

For the comic decors and attributes I chose not to use any textures whatsoever, to keep it between realistic and cartoony. As VRay tends to render a bit on the saturated side, this is actually an advantage for the comic style.
