this is just a crazy interior i finished not long ago for a bank. darn thing is ive now found out how hard it is working for an interior decorator. atleast with archetects they dont care about the insides. just the structure. the interior designer had a list of changes to make almost every day. change floor, change lights, change this, change that hehehe.
anyhow C&C are welcome hehe however the project is wrapped up so no changes will be made

        Da_elf,

        Hello! Love the images!

Any chance you could share how you do your lighting. 2x4's and downlighting? Are you using self-illuminating planes?
        Anything will help!!!! TIA!

nice... It realy takes an exraordinary mind of a decorator to come up with a carpet-patern like that

those 2x4's look a lot like vraylights that aren't invisible.

correct, 2x4 are vray lights. and for the downlights i use normal photometric lights with ies info and to show visibility i use self illuminated materials there with a material wrapper to turn off cast GI for the self illuminated materials. i dont want to slow down the render times with GI from self illuminated materials besides. the photometrics are the ones really making the light

I think carpets have too much contrast, It is interesting that the ends are not cg looking but I think little blur/fade or something could make sense.
