Man, sometimes I hate these housing projects. Specialy when all the houses more or less look the same but they're just a little bit different. Just enough so that you can't ignore it. And then the client sees the progress image and says ' oh, yes, we forgot to tell you, but we changed a few things'.

Anyway, this image is specialy for those people who think that there's only stark modernism built in the Netherlands. Or that I get to render only cool buildings (hey I have to pay the rent too )

First Looks, you done a good job even thought the background lack content, maybe that is the look you are going for.
    Minor things,
Windows: loooks very dark inside these houses
    overall Cool!
Is it the progress render or the final render...

    Polycount? and render times...

It's a progress render, so I still have to fix the windows. All the tree are instanced and instanced trees tend to be pretty dark in reflection (or maybe it's just me). I'll probably end up excluding all the glass from casting shadows, so I'll get more light inside. Or I'll do a material wrapper over it and crank up send/ recieve GI.

The background lacks contens, you're right there. The purpose is to make only this part jump out; not really there yet.

I'll post a new one tomorrow, cause tomorrow is deadline day (unless the client discovers something else he forgot to tell me).

The trees are Onyx trees. www.onyxtree.com
A very nice standalone program in which you can grow trees and bushes, with a MAX import pluginn where you can make them move in the wind.

My only comment would be that it doesn't look very sunny. Good work though!
