latest "shortproject". mainly done to study light and materials. of course done with photons. maybe on some monitors the jpg compression looks too bright (mainly on tft monitors). but i hope it will be okay.... and some corners look a bit blurred because of the compression

    some higher resolution

    perspective 1 - bright

    perspective 1 - normal

    perspective 2 - bright

    perspective 2 - normal

    perspective 3 - bright

a bit later there will be a QTVR to download

Wow...! I want to be rich enough to afford such a bathroom! Very nice renders, Metro. Very subtle, serene lightfall. Well done.

    Cheers,

Could you show us the render settings and some scene info (light and material settings etc.) to achieve such a smooth result?

Beautiful rnders. The only real crit i has is the funtionality of the bath. The controls are way over an arm lengths away. Doesnt seem like it would be built that way, but impressive non the less.

Laughing to myself about the fuctionality observation- i'll take it a step further. At my age, i'm not so sure i could even safely climb in.

Who cares? Great style and finesse in every aspect metroberlin.

Very nice image. I like the soft glow at the window and the materials. Sweet!

                    Nice renders!!!

Can you explain how many lights did you use and the bounces method? Irradiance map + photon map?

                    Thanks and compliments

I think the idea behind this design is that the cracks between the stonework allows water to drain off presumably into a large draining pan - therefore I can only assume that the whole bathroom is effictively 'fair play' when it comes to number 1's however.... when it comes to number 2's I have no idea cos those cracks certainly arent big enough for that kind of thing

the bigger cracks in front of the shower are for the water, right.

there are just 4 vray lights in front of the opening. the rest was done with photons, irradiance map and non-stored shadows. with stored shadows the shadows are too blurred (like in the qvtr). but of course rendertimes are faster with stored shadows.

                            Thank you for answer metroberlin!
The vray lights with skylight portals activated or not?

                            Many thanks

Metroberlin, please show as photons are distributed on all surfaces. And still: you use what units of measurements?
