Nomer, one question. i can see some of the palm trees at the right are not part of the background, but the rest of the trees, are they a 3d compositon made by yourself?, or are they part of the background?

first thing that i did i converted my scene to metric..inches.. just gut feeling since vray unit is in inches. if you will see DOF and IES have very big difference in terms of unit. SInce this i use inches whenever i render. I have not tested it with meters or what but its complete gut feeling that whenever i render i put my units in inches. since then whatever i do seems working fine...
the water material first and foremost have dispersion on with abbe number of 10. will share my material later.
