  • Isokon Penguin Donkey 1

I'm a big fan of Isokon's furniture range so when I started to learn 3d modelling I used it as practice.
Now I'm finally getting time to work some of it into some personal projects and here's a couple of renders from the first of them.

Made with 3ds Max, V-ray & Photoshop this is the Penguin Donkey Mark 1.
I've also made the first 10 books by Penguin Publishing to go along with it and a few other bits and pieces including Ladislav Sutnar's 'Build the Town Building Block Set' in the closeup.
Hopefullly I'll get time to follow up with a couple more scenes to feature the other 2 Penguin Donkeys.

I'd appreciate any comments and criticism on these in the meantime, thanks!

Also, this is my first post on this forum and I'm not sure if these images are a bit big to post but the reduced versions on Flickr seemed blurred.
You can find more manageable sizes at 'redbirdvisual' on Flickr if at all interested

Strong images! Color, tone and composition are striking. Textures are very well done. I have a personal love for the holga. Just one comment, the kid's blocks in the second image on the shelf seem a bit too neat, perfectly placed. A slight variation in placement could do the trick, maybe a bit more scuff marks on the reflections?

Thank's for your comments everyone! I agree with you mcel0054 about those blocks on the shelf being overly neat. I did place them there by hand (as it were rather than aligning) hoping that this would make them appear natural but it didn't seem to do the trick. I suppose there must be a script or plugin that can apply random transforms across a selection of objects which might be a good way to achieve this. I'll have to find one
