  • Photoshop Image Breakdown Animation

I did this breakdown of the Photoshop processing steps from an original rendering to the final image.
I'd like to see more of this from others. It's fun.
Except exporting each layer in photoshop manually. Anyone knows if this can be automated? (Batch exporting layers, but with all layers below still visible).

Very Cool. About exporting layers to files. Yes you can batch export layers or inividual layer comps.

      File>Scripts>Export Layers to files

You could also look into making layer comps and exporting those to layers.

Additionally, you could export your psd directly into After effects and use the automated scripts there to have each layer fade on over a 10 frame period (or similar).

Edit: Just re-read your post. What you're looking for to keep all the other layers on below is layer comps.

That's nice! I like how the raw render looks so washed up compared to the end result

Didn't know about the after effects thing, thanks!

Yeah, I like to render washed out, you can push it a lot in post, with 16bit color depth. Better than clipped blacks/whites. If you look at RED footage, they also do this in film.
