edit : this IS NOT A real project

Wow! The car looks nice, although there is something black (maybe reflection?) on the front right of te car. The compositing looks seamless, but if you take my opinion change that red vrml4x4 title. It spoils the whole look of the image.

I will have to think about some good words, they are not coming to me right now...

the engine and the top right car are photos.

The rocks and moss are made with displacment.
                    There is also some DOF.

I forget to mention that you have to click the litle white sphere to launch the viewpoint anim into the realtime 3D scene.

You can choose Direct3D or OpenGL accel, mip mapping, anysotropic filtering, full screen size/color depth etc... by pressing F9.

You can run it full screen by hitting CTRL+ENTER

                          no I'm afraid I cant because :

                          1) the color map is from a commercial texture CD, and I cant violate the copyright.

                          2) no again since the displacment map ask me about 15 hours to perfect.

                          3) Even if I would give you thoose maps, the next time I will post a different image using displacment you would ask me again for my sources?

                          Displasment with VRay is easy.

You must experience it your self.

                            fair enough....good points

1 more question. Is the whole moss rock combo made out of 1 mesh, or 1 one with rocks and 1 with moss on top of each other?

no it is the same displacement map on the same plane.

The idea is, on the displacement map, to blur and brighten the rocks while leaving the moss sharp.
