Nothing too exciting, just something I was playing around with yesterday that I thought I'd share with you guys.

The inspiration came from Tom Hemeryk's excellent experiments with the pressure setting in Max's Cloth modifier (http://www.visualart.be/?p=431) - If you haven't given his methods a go I really recommend it.

    Cheers!

Great stuff. I had a go at Tom's tut a while back. Found it to work great.

I had a go at this a while back, great fun. Have you tried the new MassFx cloth in 2013? Much easier to set up, though I do wonder whether or not it's as accurate as before. I seem to get more issues with self intersections.

I haven't had a chance to play with 2013 yet. Does the MassFX cloth also have pressure settings?

i just hope it can simulate elastics. that was my one major gripe with the max cloth system. no way to pull in or contract a seam. (and if someone can pop up now and prove me wrong, ill be more than happy

Yep, and you don't have to worry about seams etc, just use whatever (closed) mesh you want. It's far easier to set up than the prevoius cloth sim - but possibly at a lack of controllability.

Cool! Although just so you know this sim is generated from a normal closed mesh (extrude>subdivide modifier>collapse)

yes it was never necessary to use seams etc with the old max cloth system. as AJ says, an arbitrary mesh works fine.
