    i took an image from an apartment i really liked and produced a render based on it using vray for sketchup, these are my results.

    hmm - are you sure the reference image is from an actual place or is that a render too :P
    I like your materials, but the light filter is really distracting, and the back wall just feels a little out of place - too bright maybe with your materials

      Nice image.
      The mat look great, but the wooden floor texture looks repeated, but overall nice image........have to agree with Andy that the reference image looks like a render.

        Looking nice already. I see you couch is facetted, did you soften/smooth the surfaces/edges? As said above, I would use brighter materials and use less repetitive textures.

          Thx for the suggestions friends, i'll keep them in mind for future , and i think you guys are right, the reference image might be a rendering itself, it was a good use as a reference and for excercise thou, the couch was a downloaded component 3ds, but i think you can achieve same soft and round edges in sketchup (using plugin called "round corner", and "sculpt tools").
