    Hi guys,
Here's one of my recent projects. Since I'm doing another similar one, I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on how to make projects like this not so boring looking! Even sunset ambience is not enough. Maybe put sun even lower and get some of artificial lighting?
    so C&C very welcome

The sunset is nice. Maybe a little too moody. The flags are a little strange looking. Too perfect and not natural. The red shrubs look a little dead. The asphalt is a little too perfect. Maybe add some dirt or leaves? Maybe in this case some people would be helpful? All in all it looks great. These are just some simple comments.

very nice work. I would, if it were mine, de-saturate everything about 25%

Thanks guys, both comments make sense and I'll use them in my next shopping project I am on now.

Also, I often see some awesome colour grading on the web, and gurus here care to give me advice? When I try to colour grade like use one slight "s" curve in red channel and the opposite in blue channel (more blue in shadows, and more red in highlights) I always either get too weird colours, or no change at all if I'm too subtle.

Also, anyone knows where to get a good asphalt texture? No need to be free.
I have a cool road texture, but I can only use it for straight roads since it only tiles horizontally.

I like digging through graphicriver once in awhile. Some extremely nice textures there but many you have to make tileable (and bump/normal/specular etc maps) yourself.
