Good job Glory. But I see the glass of the cup a little strange.
Dof is done in post or physical camera?

    Regards.

Thanks, kiteman. The DOF was done in VRAY. What I have found, is when using an AO pass, you need to do it in VRAY. When you do it on VRAY, the AO pass gets the blur, as well.

I like it, nice lighting..the ceiling texture looks off,.... Maybe the scale, I would try a displacement map there... The camera is very close to see all the details.
Another detail that bother me a bit is the texture on the cabinet above the microwave(left one ).

          Great job !
I really like the DOF effect.
The only thing I can find is the white wall on top of bottles, maybe too bright.

Yes. My ceiling didn't work out like I has planned. I'll look closer at the other issues.

I see that texture now, left of the microwave. Dagnabit! Maybe I can PS it out.

Really cool! I like it. Maybe add few pixels to the width of the render? Or am I too used to wide screen format?

Hm that glass on the bar, next to the pad seams a bit dirty ) and you know about the ceiling, I would reduce the bump and increase the tiling - and hopefully it won't show tiling ha ha

What fstop did you use for the camera? Personally I think it distracts from the kitchen design, I keep on looking at the blurred objects and the strong highlight on the wood at the bottom of picture - other than that think the lighting and textures are spot on (apart from ceiling as mentioned)!

I'd render it with a slightly softer anti aliaser or just blur it a tiny bit in photoshop to knock the harsh cg edge off it but it looks great. Really good work. I'm personally not a fan of mid colored woods or "craft" style architecture but that's just my taste. Design aside it's a really really good interior render. Congrats Bobby.

I would have to open the scene to see what f-stop I used, but I can image it was around 2.8 or 4. I sharpened it because it seems architects like their images really sharp, or at least that's my impression. Whenever I do an image for an architect they want it really sharp.

I see a lot of modern kitchen renders on the web so, it is kind of nice to do something a little different. Personally, at least for me, it seems really dated.

I addressed some of the issues, and I am sure created some more. Here is an elevation of the space.

Damn those chairs look awesome! So naturally blurred, and just realistic.
Still the ceiling needs changing, and now those speculars on furniture look unrealistic, other than that I just love this scene.

Your materials & lighting are always great Bobby, you have those mostly sorted.
IMHO it's your composition that lets you down most of the time.
but don't worry because with this script your life will change!!!! [Mine did]
                              http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/sc...magecomphelper
As the link implies it's an image composition helper script. My favorite is the rule-of-thirds for architectural renders. [From wikipedia----The rule of thirds was first written down[5] by John Thomas Smith in 1797]
I will guarantee your work will improve [and be completed quicker] by using this script.

                              Cheers
