  • WIP help needed

as you can see on the bottle label has a problem with the opacity why does this occour the label are duplicated polygons from the bottle.
I have used the same technique for the glass but you can't see the problem there.

material used for the label is standard max mat with no glossines or reflecions.

    hi spirit1,

check the alpha-channel of your map,
set the the transparent areas to pure black.

Sometimes I can fix opacity by simply checking supersampling in the materials with defaults on. See if that takes care of it.

it seems that the white isn't 'real' white, but i think that
              won't explain your problem.

generally i would use 32-bit tga's with the alpha-map included.
the boarders of your gif-picture (black/white) are quite sharp and jaggy.
create an alpha-channel in photoshop and save the map as a tga.
              hope this will help.

              nice evening to all

You know why it works now?

The missing transparency of your label were simply reflections.
If you use any shader containing a highlight you have to map the specular
level too to make it dissapear on totally transparent areas of the geometry.
