Okay... it's moving right along. Very little post, and what I did was subtle. I forgot to turn turn my passes on, and I forgot to enable my PSD-Manager, so this is the RAW with a couple layer adjustments.

this is looking awesome, great color & detail - but in your latest I noticed something... looks like the chandelier up front is missing its chain :P

That looks really nice Bobby. The only thing (apart from the missing chain) that feels weird to me is how close the island unit is to the oven. It looks like there wouldn't be enough room to open the oven door. I could be wrong of course!

the chandelier is hung by a thin wire. I'll beef that up. I'll double check on the distance from the stove to the island.

I have re-scale the island, which was only 2' from the stove.

Bobby, hope you don't mind a quick side jump but you seem to do quite a lot of different work from exteriors to interiors. I'm curious, what do the architects/designers use today? Still 90% Autocad? Revit, Archicad?

I see 100℅ 2D AutoCAD. I don't think the Revit guys need us anymore .

Wow, that sort of surprises me. I would have thought that people needing viz were more higher end, or sophisticated, and therefore would have moved on from Autocad (no offense to those using it). After all the quality of a mental rendering a general Revit user can produce is light years from what can be accomplished in Max with accessory objects, chamfering and more controlled lighting and texturing. Maybe it's the other way around, it's how the regular Autocad user competes?

It all comes down to money. A by-product of the model is a free rendering. But, to tell you the truth, most of those guys are out of work. The ones that were always willing to pay for quality are still working.

The people who need quality are trying to sell something that is yet to be built. Most already have the job, so they do what it takes to make a profit, which means no frills...they cut corners.

And the texture of floor and furniture I would assume? Really like the look.

nope. It's straight from my VRAY render. I used the watercolor filter in FotoSketcher. The whole process takes a minute or two.
