I use large VRayLights and self illuminated objects to help illuminating indoor scenes. In real life light probably bounce forever and particles in the air help distributing it. This is rarely the case when processing GI with your favourite rendering tool because it dont take atmosphere into calculation and you probably don’t wanna crank up indirect bounces to 1000 or more so I keep simulating indirect light in different areas until the overall illumination is satisfying. This method is fast but not without tweaking.

It’s just my LAN nick I use on some forums. You may find Bratwurst on BF1942 servers (or similar games) as well but I rarely game online nowadays.

I know I hate using 2D stuff but I can’t find good enough 3D characters. Any tips¿?
great images, you really have mastered the lighting in that ones
about the 2d people it`s true, they look like they are exposed to the sun but they are indoors... maybe a solution would be taking pictures of people using a digital camera, I know it seems like too much work, but once you have a few, you can re-use them a lot
