Hi Luigimux,
First off, nice work! But there are a couple of things that bothered me a little.
You've used quite a powerful piece of music (I love M83) but I don't think the video really matched it properly. I think the whole video seemed a bit rushed. For some reason the music seems to want big, epic, slow shots with careful composition. Slow dollying one point perspectives come to mind. I also don't understand why we're looking at the ceiling so much when the CGI starts as well as the shots focusing in on the brushed metal finishes.
On the flipside, having slower shots in such a small space might not work as there isn't an "epic" amount of content to look at...
Regardless of my comments the shots of the watches are really lovely and i'm quite fond of your glass shaders.
Well done and congratulations on a solid piece of work!

Hi Pixelcon,
thank you very much for your comments.
Of course there are so many ways of doing the same thing, but let me try to explain better why I chose that path.
The video is about presenting a new design concept for any new and existing GC watches boutique to be rolled over the world and that is being presented to any potential customer willing to open a new store and then to potential landlords (e.g. Westfield Shopping Centres owner). So basically, it's more about the actual store more than the watches.
The script I wrote at the beginning of the project was to show:
- GC brand using lifestyle images of GC Smart Luxury events;
- a bit about the founder and designer of GUESS and GC, Paul Marciano;
- the actual products using the video footage that they use in the shops;
- and then the boutique.
As you said, the space is very small and I wanted to introduce it bit by bit starting from the materials picked by the designers, then showing details of the bespoke showcase furniture and finally getting to the overall views of the shop.
I felt that, by showing the entire space at the beginning, it would have been a peak followed but less interesting bits with the risk of loosing the the viewer's attention.
I tried to use simple movements, and where the perspective had more than 2 points I slowed it down.
About the speed of the overall thing, I'm always scared of showing too much because I fear the viewer's eye might get satisfied with it and it will look away.
I may be getting personal here in the way that I prefer to leave the audience willing to see more of it rather than feeling it had enough. What do you think about it?
By the way, some shots could have been slower and longer, you are right.
Ah the ceiling.. there have been quite a few discussions around it here at the studio.
When I storyboarded it, it was a little different and the footage behind the titles was of another kind. I see what you mean, we see that ceiling at the beginning of the video, then behind the titles before the cgi and then at the peak of the music.
I didn't feel it was that much when I was editing but now I see it.. that can be boring!
