Nothing much to say about this. Copper material is somewhat complex. This weird thing going on above the entrance and towards the back is supposed to be something resembling stone, but no one is quite sure how it's supposed to look like. I was given photos of seaside cliffs to look at as reference. I'll probably redo this in pure white.

Would this benefit from a person in the lower right 3rd of the composition?

Mmmmmm nice one Dusan, really nice.
My only comment woudl be that the people kill the scene a bit....i can imagine this being perfect without them...
Lovely mood and lighting though, well done!

Very nice. I would paint some grass, into the path edge, so it doesn't end so abruptly.

and I guess I'd ask why you have the largest mass of the building in shadow? I understand having the entrance in the light, but can't you rotate the view to get more light than shadow? Unless, of course, this is intentional.

There is a very specific orientation of this type of object. The entrance is always facing west, the altair is always facing east. I guess i could ignore this since laymen can't really tell if it's correct or not (it happened once though). But i generally like contrast, i always light one facade and leave the other in the dark. If i went through my portfolio i assume that 75% of my stuff will have sunlight coming from the left.

I guess we read from left to right, I've always thought about this, interesting subject.

mine, too, but I usually rotate my view so more is in light than in shadow. what you are doing is working, so I might change up my next project.
