  • Some bits that I can show..

A couple of shots of a nice posh terrace i've just started.. and a few of a marketing suite from xmas and a lobby from last week...

All my current work is for internal design development purposes only and as such I must be quite ruthless with production - there is very limited scene setup time, no polishing/tweaking and hardly any post, but do I try to achieve an optimum result despite this. I also aim for low render times and am not happy with anything over an hour for 3k on a 16core machine.

The bg's on the roof terrace are dodgy because they are a geo panorama and are just placeholders for general feel. As such they are what they are so to speak...

A bit of a headache this one - with 3 days setup and multiple views required for sign-off.

And finally for this post a first pass on a lobby design. This was a real rush job and as with all the work the design and fittings are bespoke - fabrics, finishes and that joinery unit etc... so a bit of a plate spinning exercise really.
Had to generate 12 cameras for this one so my render settings are on the low side, and I even use a bump-map on the carpet, and I have some duplicate assets in the scene too

I hope you are charging proper rates. These are very good in a short space of time. Its amazing how the top end seems to be unaffected by the general downturn.
        Kind Regards,

Ha I wish I'd be minted by now considering I'm doing at least an image a day on average!

I'm in-house actually and making initial steps to building a dept - Its a proving ground currently though so I am solo with a nice farm and an awesome workstation for now
My employer are one of the UKs biggest and most notorious clients for CG images so its definitely a challenge

Thanks for your positive comments btw! its quite isolating here presently so its good to get feedback...

Its good to see some high spec design in a high end location. We are working on a number of high end interior shots in and around London - I can't quite believe the spec on some of these places!

I noticed a Berkely logo on one of your shots - is this your (notorious) client?
            Kind Regards,

yeah we use quite a few people still - My first job was to vette existing suppliers. I'm happy with Visualisation One for alot of our stuff as they produce a decent optimised product in good time.
You may be referring to (mr pickop) Tekuchi r.e. the interactive?

Ill be looking at interactive soon too having shown some really cool tech to the directors - will share in time

Yep - I studied architecture for a thousand years with Nick. A good friend. We've worked together on a few things.
(I believe we have done one or two projects for Berkely over the years - we must have been 'vetted'!! LOL!)

Nice interirors considering your turn around time, and I know what you mean by 1 image a day, were doing 2 and 3 a day thes times around here, seems like every job coming in as a 2 days delay, plus I m doing an exterior animation of a pretty big project (6 tower of 12 to 16 storys) with 2 interiors and intro etc etc.....Im managing a little team and doing a bit of formation through, follow the direction in the job assignement and following every job coming out of here......sometimes I dont have enough time in a days for everything! But it the archviz world I guess.......Need to catch my breath.

But sry did nt mean to steal your thread, overall you have a nice mood in your scene except the exterior terrace that is a bit flat and doesnt really work with the back plate, but I really like the 2nd shot of the lobby and the contrast of the dusk mood.

                      Best reagards

nice work for the time available

however my main crit is that they look too cg material and geometry wise, very sharp and could really benefit from some post work to add some character

perhaps some better quality props and furniture from design connected wouldn be a good idea?

meh. It's not up to your landscape standard, but I guess it's alright.
