Well congratulations. Apart from the balcony glass, the images are very convincing.

(somebody should create a 'cheer' emoticon)

        congratulations again

I agree on the glass of the balcony is it a standard material with vraymap in reflection slot?

It seems a material get from this solution

Yeah, you guys are right, the glass on the balcony is a standard mat with vray reflection. It got really messed up, but there was no time to fix it. A little PS helped a lot though...
          Cheers,

Ide like to say that I NEVER like it when people incorporate a backround image, because it never seems to look just right but you did an AWSOME job matching it!!!

The only critique would be to displace those bricks, or something... they just look too flat for my taste...

              GOOD JOB!

                  Nice !

but look at the direction of shadows in the backroundimage compared to your rendering

You got me Tom! Well, the client wanted the sun like this, but the photos were already taken from a crane...

Besides, only nerds like us ever notice!

Here's the new fresh-out-of-the-box angle (wip):

this must be one of the best arch viz i've seen in a long time!! very very convining, i have to dbutler i think some displacement will make those bricks look better, and playing with some of the U value for the sun, to make a little more softer the shadow edges

Congrats, i second the cheer emoticon!
                        Best Regards.

                          awesome!

my only comment would be the wooden chairs on the balcony...
                          is the scale right?
                          they look a bit small...

                          other than that, awesome!

                              Thanks for your nice comments!

I'll se if I can dig up some settings when I'm back in the office.

                              Regarding the camera match:

                              1. Rent a crane and place it at the exact location of the apartment to be.
                              2. Take a full panorama, and stitch the pictures to form a cylindrical map.
                              3. Place a cylinder around your model, flip normals, and move the horizon so it reaches the horizon of your MAX-camera.
                              4. place the map in the reflection environment tab, and adjust output until glass looks good.
                              5. Render model and background seperately, and combine in PS.
                              6. If needed, replace sky with better one, and coloradjust so it matches the render.

That's basically it, I guess. No matching as such if the panorame is in the right place. Only a little rotating...
                              Cheers,

                              /Thomas
