There are some nice elements but I think it needs more work. My comments:
There is no obvious relationship between the edit and the audio, and I am not clear about what I am looking at; What is the idea of the piece? Id also say the grade is too flat for an underwater scene and you should animate the plants to help support the movement.
i agree about the slightly 'unfinishedness' of it the plants are animated but in retrospect - yes its not noticeable at all
im definitely going to have another look at the comps and the grading - do you mean make it more vivid?
as for being not clear about what you are looking at ill leave you to it huhu
Yes I would go for a more crushed look, which equates to vivid I guess - I assume you want to have a strong contrast between the gloom and the sparkly caustics... Higher saturation will help here too. (I attached a ref because language is sooo subjective) I would definitely add aome volumetrics here especially with that grate thing on the surface...
yes Thats kind of what i was *trying* for.... i ended up masking out half of the caustics with the lighting pass to try and get it more murky as per client request.
i could redo some better volumetric passes to overlay
