    hi all,

haven't posted here for ages but I've been keeping an eye on some great work in here.

Here's my last project done with VRay.

time was running short and my Athlon 750 was melting already, so I had to drop GI and use old fashioned fill/ambient light setup. Vray was still great for the reflections n stuff.

I had to 'beautify' the images to the developers satisfaction, so they're a bit contrasty and saturated for my own taste but I'm happy I didn't have to go too far.

    anyway...they're here - http://argo.net.au/philipad/main/3dimages/duffield.html

Although the project's all wrapped up, I'd like to hear if there's any problems you see, I've been lokking at em way too long to notice anything anymore...

The images have i nice look and feel...

But IMO the background view and interior don't much. the interior is too bright and the background is too dark.

i second natty on the glossy issue.

      Regards,
      Bakbek.

Gonçalo is alive and well, He has opened a new office and hired some draftsmen. Not to speak for him but I think he has decided to concentrate on his Architecture for a while.

thanks guys, I agree a bit less glossiness on the floor wouldn't hurt.

Da_elf, yeah it's been a while. I haven't been using the computer for any of my university stuff for a while, just for freelance projects, of which I hadn't had the time to do any with such a big workload at school, but this one came up in my summer break so I took it on.

I was asking the same question to myself. Where is Gonzalo P. ?
I have just reply " maybe he is to busy with his work " anyway this is what I wish and nothing else.

the last thing i heard of him (msn messenger) was that he is very busy at the moment, mean...much work. which is actually a good sign.

Very nice work Dogzilla, especialy considering that there is no GI in your scenes. I haven't noticed this before, but the Vray lights you've placed on the openings already give a soft and subtle feel to the lighting. At least, you've done the lighting part so well that I mind if you actualy needed GI for this job. Keep it up.

                      Regards,

                      Nenad

the furniture is nice, but the wall look like they are glowing.

I agree with that. The bright walls distract me a bit...
Although I like the overall look of the renderings
