I tried to get result as clear as possible, photon map + irradiance, also i wanted to make that mzmeskals displacement carpet work. (thanks mzmeskal for a great texture).
Three windows here, direct light and vray light at each of them.

I tried putting some glass in those windows (thats why i have those holes) but with hsv exposure, dark value about 10 they turn up completly white, and i've never seemed to make a material that is 100% transparent, just reflective, it always ends up a tad darker than the things behind it .

Nice image, is glass meant to be ontop of that table looking thingy.

can you post your render settings. as the render time seems a little steeps for that scene. And there is some weird color problems too especially along the wall joints and corners.

Can't wait, this one is really great, i'm having hard times finding the right paintings and such design stuff to use in my projects.

As for the settings, i cant admit, but i think that the actual render time was about 2 hours or so.

As i said, i have three direct lights pointed at every window, this is something that crossed my mind, i would originaly use one, but id get a lot of photons bounce of the exterior walls for nothing, so i try to make a direct light fit as perfect as it can on a window. All six lights have 1800 subd.
Model in mm, 7bounces set, search distance 50, max density 10, max photons 30, convert to irr map, convex hull area estimate, retrace treshold 2.
This took about 25 minutes to calculate.

Now i wanted to try something out with irradiance map, but im not sure if i got it right

                  clr tresh 100
                  nrml .3
                  -3,1
                  hsphere 50
                  inerp 40

this took a while, floor is glossy, as well as the leather material on those chairs, but i tried to keep subds as low as possible.

I really like how the sun hits that chairs fabric.
