Awesome testing sir, do you mind sharing the time and resolution of this render. And what do you think so far in comparison to the previous version (1.49)If you have no critics you'll likely have no success.

Thanks
Well, the actual size of the image is 3000x1750 and the original was made in vray 1.49 and took a whole day to render (literally!)
Just for fun I tried to render it again in 1.6 beta. Although it took about 7 hours it was still about half the time compared to the old version! And that was while I was working and rendering at the same time... on the same computer
The books are from 'model+model' and the mood and lighting (flare) is done in about 10 min in photoshopAMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X 16-core CPU @ 3.50GHz 64GB RAM Vray Next 3DS MAX 2020

Actually, I use the default settings most of time and only tweek the camera settings for exposure, ambient occlusion, sun size (to get the blurry shadows)
HSph subdivs to avoid to many splotches and in rare cases global subdivs mult if the lighting is really bad (in rooms with no windows)
In case of the displacement I have often tried to set the edge length to 5 or 6 to save render time, but it usually f.... up the shadows so I´m sticking to the default 4AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X 16-core CPU @ 3.50GHz 64GB RAM Vray Next 3DS MAX 2020
