The heatblur is a nice touch DOF also makes the render appear more realistic.

I like it, altough there are some burned out regions. I'm also confused about what kind of weather it is and what time, there are very dark shadows, but also clouds, dark regions on the runway and bright lights on your airplane. It looks a bit light an evening shot with sunlight from noon.

thanks flipside, yes i originally modelled it in maya then brought it into max. Yeah i gotta be honest and say im not sure myself as to what kind of lighting condition i was trying to achieve, i guess i was going for more of an artistic piece.
