  • Basic Ocean test

    Ivaylo.
I am sharing a better simulation result of my test, after you explained
How to setup the Ocean vector displacement and avoid cliping.
Foam and splashes are still working in progress,
my bad, I can't properly tweak it , if I get a good result or turn Force on
Motion Blur, render times increase unreasonably.

Can you share the setting of the foam shader? Motion blur can produce a lot of noise which is difficult to clear. This shader can become pretty heavy.

what means "unreasonably", 2-3 times is prety normal. anyway, you can control it by the motion blur step and motion blur limit parameters. increase the motion blur step to make it faster, if the quality is good enough.

        Thank you Ivaylo.
Send me an e-mail adress and I'll send the whole scene if you want.
        mine is :
        lzmihich@gmail.com

I am sure that I can reduce the render times with the foam shaders .
I can tweak motion blur, But i am afraid I also have scale issues.

lzmihich, can you test with the next nightly? We will make a small change there to check if it helps. If not, Katev will investigate the problem further when he can.

                  There's no rush at all.
I understand that Phoenix 2.0 service pack was just released, and Ivaylos are being very helpful.
Publishing my efforts is also meant to help.
I 'd love if in the future,We would have an Ocean specific tutorial.
                  Thank you.

ask the support, they have to update your access privileges and will explain you how to download the nightlies.

your scene is ok, it seems to me that you just need to tweak it.
the tutorials are in progress, it just goes slowly
