I think you should reduce the scale of the bump. (gizmo) Take care also to the sides. It seems there is no texture there....
Maybe I'm wrong. I should take a look at the real model.......

Hey Zang,

I think they both look great. The red leather is a little plastic looking but still really nice. It may be the lighting that's causing this. Are you using pure white lights? The sued is cool but it looks like there is too much reflection and a little too glossy. The sides look good on both but I think the piping would be flat, or no bump, on the red chair.

Keep up the great work.

j bug: well....its either he set the relfective value to high to cause the relfection too strong...or he used falloff wrongly which made it unaturally reflective(the relfection supposed to be bluish since the lighting is blue..but it's bright white)...........at least the leather i made looks better than his......and btw....it just doesnt look like leather!! i dun no the way u perceive things....but if u do 100% think that this looks like leather then u need to pay urself a trip to ikea.....

ps: i dun really appreciate that little insult there.....

i dun wanna write any "help comments" bc first of all, i dont have time...but mostly its bc i dun no his settings!!! so i dun no wat changes he should make...

btw zang...there's a good leather mtl somewhere in this forum for u to dl...but u gotta search..i think it's metroberlin who made it....its pretty good...so u can use it as a reference to improve ur own...or just use his... ....

Ok, I apologies for the insult you didn’t deserve it but I’m glad you can see where I'm coming from though. You’re last post was more clear and could actually help. Maybe I don't always give the best critiques but I do try to be helpful in any way I can. I have a long way to go to match half of the members of this forum but I feel we can all still learn from one another. Where is the leather you're talking about? If you think it's so much better then I guess that's all there is to it but personally I prefer having others help to improve my shortcomings in my own simple creations.
