My opinion is that perhaps the shader could look more metal? There is zero specular or reflective highlights on the blue shader.

You'd expect it to be some sort of highlight, perhaps like this;

agree, especially on simple objects like that, I think the difference is all in the materials. as it is now it's a bit difficult to make out what kind of material is actually made of. besides, pulling off a convincing metal shader would be the only fun part of these kind of jobs..

I tried some reflection, but he didn't like it. He wanted it a flat blue, like a photo he sent. But, I would agree!
