    Hi,

Here's an image I'm working on.

Actually focus is not on the room but on a product that will be placed in later. The room is there to set a style & mood for the targetted users of this product.

    Comments very much appreciated!

    Thanks,

    flipside

Hey there's that bed again :P

The tiles seem to big...i'm sure that's the way they're supposed to be, but for some reason they seem kind of wrong. (sorry for being so specific )

Not sure about the glow around the lights either.

Other than that it looks good.

        Hi,

I saw this kind of floor in a magazine. Tiling is +- the same. I'm not very architecturally skilled so I combine some stuff I find in magazines

You're right about the balcony, i should model that too. I indeed mirrored the curtains, but I don't think the client will argue about this point

        keep it coming!

        thanks,

Hehe you'll see that bed a couple more times in the near future

I used spotlights in all places where you see the fixtures. Used inversed square decay on them and played a bit with the cone shape and gave them area shadows.

I also have one big vray light (weak but very colored) outside the window opening.

Maybe I'll make the tiles smaller

Looks very good to me! I like the tiles, unusual but they look good in the room.

The lighting is also very nice, except the halo on the lights, personel taste thing.

The overall mood of the room is what I like the most.

                  flipside,

love the image. I agree with the wood slider as well as the size of a single piece of glass. I would think you would have some intermediate mullions -regardless of whether or not it is wood, steel or aluminum.

How are you getting the glow effect on the lights? Is that done in post? Are you using self illuminated materials?

                  Nice work

Yes the glow is in post. I use self illuminated material for the lights, but recieve and send GI turned off. Then in photoshop select the white, blur it and an set the transparancy. So no self illumination is used to light the scene.

I will not change any details anymore because the clients finds it already to detailed. It should only set a mood, the details should not attract too much attention.
