  • What another bathrm

    Hi All,

Herewith a WIP of yes another bathrm.

    I need some c/c.

Things still to be done is the window glass, different backdrop, changes to the plasterband around the window and improvements to some of the textures.

I need some advice on how to get the porcelian material for the bath and whb better. I know that with GI elements pick up the colour of the surrounding but in real life whites do seem whiter to me. Is there away to achieve this? Same goes for the tiling in fornt of the bath, it just seem to pick up to much of the surrounding colours.

    Thanks.

    Hey GyroHip!

    Turn on the lights!

You need something to hold the top of the glass that surrounds the shower, unless you're using 12+ mm glass, which IMO would be overkill.

Everything looks 'heavy', but perhaps thats what you're going for? I think it's the colors, and the tiles...

If you need some inspiration, check out Richard de Souza's site - he made an excellent bathroom image.
    Cheers,

agree with the heavy. The perspective makes it looked cramped, which it appears the bathroom is, but might be contributing to the "heavy" look.

        Bthrm

        HI guys,

Thanks for the replies and you guys are write, the design is leading towards heavy lements, which I may need to rethink. And yes the room is small, but that is the reality of the situation. I am restricted to the dimensions of the room.

I think the perspective only correctly reflects the physical dimensions of the space.

I was hoping for more advice c/c with regards the rendering. I am trying to achieve a room lit by daylight and therefore would not like to turn on the lights as it should not be needed.

I am also hoping for advice on how to achieve brighter whites (and I not talking about my washing) and control the amout of colour picked up per material/texture.

        Thanks

Where is the light coming from? Frankly it looks a lil mysterious as to why the room is lit in that way without seeing evidence of a light source somewhere. as for the off color white, its always been a problem for me as well. You could put a vray mat wrapper on your white wall mat and increase the Gi multiplier a lil bit. What are your color mapping settings?

            Sun

THe rm is iluminated by the sunlight coming through the window. I will look at my colour settings and report back.

            Thanks
