this is a video that we are preparing tutorial for
there is nothing special in the setup, but we had to polish some functionality in order to make possible such simulations, so if you try to make it with the official release, the result will be worse.

With such results, this can compete with Naiad and Houdini at any time.

      Thank you

Will an update be coming with those polishes made, or will that be some time off and saved for a bigger service pack?

Lots of grid artifacts on foam
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

I allready tried something like that and yes, i had a lot of trouble with the particles.
So, i'm looking forward to the next release

Looks great, any chance of sharing the scene file ?

How can the foam calculations be sped up? Already using "point mode" and no refraction on a similar sim and the foam is taking over 2 hours to calculate for one frame.

If you are using one of the latest nightlies, turning on "Light Cache" (also for bubble or cellular mode) does the trick.

the first and the most important question about the particles is their count. you can see it in the input panel. two hours for a single frame means too big count or complicated lighting.

Sushidelic's hint cut the full render time to under a minute.

Well that was actually a hint I got from Ivaylo - glad it helped!

no chance to blend the texwaves with the static ocean
