Hi everyone. Hereby my first complete image with 2.0.
I've been trying out proxies here. The tree is a free sample tree from Xfrog.
The grass was generated with fur-plugin by tak2hata, a patch of 1m², then turned into a proxy, multiplied and occasionally rotated.
Bike is from the 3D-warehouse, but slightly modified (original: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehou...c4a07a70977b75)
The asphalt texture was made with a modification of the galvanized metal texture plus some dirt texture from cgtextures.com.
The concrete band is modelled and textured with a dirty concrete texture also from cgtextures.
The sidewalk texture is created by taking a photo of one sidewalk tile and using Bricks'N'Tiles (http://www.bricksntiles.com/) to turn it into a texture.
Fallen leaves are spread out with fur plugin again, now in 'crowd' mode.

    C&C welcome

I like it a lot - it's almost 'painterly' - could be in a frame. I like the way the focus is on the bike but the glow of the Fall leaves in the trees controls the image and provides warmth to the picture. Looking forward to seeing more.

Nice work! Missing the big puddles of rainwater though (it was very stormy in the Netherlands this weekend).
Are there multiple symbols for the different color leafs or is there a material trick (like in 3dsmax) where you can have a multi texture or something similar?

        Thanks you both!

Haha yes I chose to ignore the stormy weather, sit inside by the fireplace and create a happy rain-free fall for myself
The leafs on the tree are one image containing multiple leafs.

The leafs on the ground are two of those leafs, traced with freehand tool and made into two components.
Actually I made four components, made a unique texture and colorized it in sketchup, but I forgot to check if the colorization carried over to V-Ray. It didn't.

Now that you mention it... I wonder.. it might be possible to make a blend texture where the leaf texture is UV-mapped but the other color is dependent on the XYZ location... makes me want to experiment more now but must work...

Right. that was supposed to be a png but apparently this forum doesnt do png, autoconverts it to jpg. Anyway, the tiff comes together with the tree (http://xfrog.com/product/AL17.html)

            I do like this.
The viewpoint and composition are unusual and work very well IMO.
Although initially I was not too keen on the artificial look of the grass, I think it gives the whole image a surreal and artistic look and feel. Nice one.
