Well, to be honoust, I think clients come to me with water projects because they've seen my other water project images, so I get to do a lot of water projects, which make a lot of clients come to me with their water projects.....etc,etc.
And we do have a lot of water in Holland

The water is very very simple. You start of with a dark green Vray material. Put reflection on white. Go to the reflection slot and insert a perpendicular/parralel fall off map. 100%. Tune down the max reflection, and tune up the min reflection (the line should go less steep).
Go to the bump slot, insert a regular noise map (procedural) and give the bump a 3 % output.
          That's it.

Yeah, you do some good stuff, UBIKmh! You're lucky you get to do all the watery images...

I like the second one also, but I miss something in the horizon...

And the fifth one... - Wow, BIG MOFO!
              Cheers,

that glass building sure is long. air conditioning cost must be extreme!
                  but very nicely rendered.

as always great images. The water looks great. Your images always clearly show the buildings.

                    Great Work.

                    Chris.

nice work, Marc...as always........I like the fishes in the fifth image...

                      love the water, as well.....

I definatly like the first section cut: it makes it much easier to understand where every thing is - was that your idea to cut it like that??

                        Oh yeah, nice images!
                        But I think C-R.JPG needs a different/more dynamic sky..

Thanks for the nice words guys.

Tje, you're right about the background. I thought I could get away with it. Only thing is, I have no idea what's in the background. I'll think of something.

Leon, as for the sky, I totally disagree with you. A more dynamic sky would probably make a nice mood and a nice painting, but my client is selling houses not skies. The focus should be on the houses. The small cloud section on the left is all the image needs to get your attention on the houses. It also keeps your attention on the lower part of the image and make you look up at the corner house.

The last one is probably the biggest building model I ever rendered here. The building is about 3.5 million polygon faces. The Pond image is about the closest I could get without getting horrendous render times. This one was about 16 hours on a 3500x3500 scale. The night image was fun to do because I didn't want to show much of the building, just suggest it. The whole setup of the design is so big that I opted for a 150 deg camera angle and then cropped an a-symmetrical section.

Not to downplay any of the great work Marc has created here, it is excellent for the purpose As another option I wanted to add that there is a plugin I've found called VectorNoise which I like to use for a little more natural wind blown look. The image below uses the options "Use Regular Noise for Base" and "Turbulence2".
