  • MY FIRST 3DSTUDIO+VRAY RENDER

    Hi all,

I am a newbie to 3ds max and Vray! This is my first work as student
It has been modeled in Rhinoceros.
Let to criticize it..! How can I improve realism? Where Can I achieve real plants and people? Is RPC Archivision a goos solution?

WOW! that's a really red building. I would start with the horizon, it needs context, the sky needs some work also. there is alot of color bleeding going on, maybe you could apply a material wrapper and turn down the geneate and receive GI. The lighting islooking pretty good overall for your first post. You could also work on the asphalt material. its scale is too large.

      Hi ,
For some technical reason I don't manage to see the image,

But on RPCs, as I use them , the people are very useful , specially after some changes in Photoshop they just look realistic, and using the cars is very resource-saving specially when having lots of them in one scene.

you need to work on textures, the road - the pavement the building, the sky... a Bbullo said you need an horizon, as far as the architecture is , concerened you need to work on detai - ie window frames, Im presuming this is a building from your own imagination? thats always really difficult to pull off, try working from reference images for a while, this will improve your modeling/texturing and lighting skills. Id stay away from rpc completely if you want to acheive realism, composite people work better which you can do yourself,
