    This is my third work under Vray, I love this script so much. It helps me to blend many amazing work than before.
    The render cost me 2hours, I'm not quite sure how to make the work speed up. My core CPU seems didn't work, only 1 CPU could work in the render. BTW, my script is v0.9.9. Maybe this already been fixed in the new script.
    Is there any way to get the latest version Vray's crack method? :P
    I attached the option tab for my work, hope c&c on this with me.

        My core CPU seems didn't work, only 1 CPU could work in the render.
        In Blender's Output panel manually set the number of threads you want.
        And when using multiple threads turn off M (Multipass) in Irradiance Map and set Passes of Light Cache to threads number.
        Btw, what V-Ray version are you using?

        A little note about test/final settings.
        There are really only 2 parameters to control quality/speed:
        Noise threshold and Subdivs mult.

        Fast test:
        Noise threshold: 0.1
        Subdivs mult: 0.1

        Test:
        Noise threshold: 0.04
        Subdivs mult: 0.25

        Final:
        Noise threshold: 0.01 (in some special cases 0.007-0.005)
        Subdivs mult: 1.0

        You settings are not good. So I suggest you to use:
        Image sampler: Adaptive DMC, Subdivs: 1-4

        DMC sampler:
        Adaptive amount: 0.65
        Noise and Subdivs depends on quality/speed you want.

        GI:
        Primary: Irradiance Map
        MinMax depends on image size. For 1920 and more use Min rate:-5 Max rate: -2 (or -4 -1 if you have a lot of little details)
        If using multiple threads M=Off
        DE=on
        If DE and W=on: Radius=0.15-0.20 (this will be 15-20cm; thats why I suggest 1 Blender unit = 1 meter, scene scale is vital!)

        Secondary: Light Cache
        Size= 0.02 or 0.005
        If W=On: from 0.04 or 0.02 (this will be 4-2cm, scene scale will be vital here too)
        Store= On (if you have only a few lights it will produce better quality, if you have a lot of lights this will slower Irradiance Map calculation - look here for more info)
        Glossy= On (this will speed up glossy surfaces rendering)
        Adapt= On
        Pre-filter= On, 60-100
        Filter= Off

        CM:
        Color mapping is very specific to your own imagination so use what you like.
        I prefer Reinhard. When Burn is 0.0 its like exponent, when 1.0 its like linear. So I use from 0.0 to 0.65.

          Re: Kitchen

          wow, great thanks on so many "KEY" points lol!
          I'm using Vray v08522.
          I tried as you said to set the M = off, then they works! wowha, quite cool!! why I didn't realize this before~~~?
          And I tested the Noise threshold and Subdivs mult control, I really have to say this speed control is amazing, faster 2 or 3 times than before, and really useful in the lighting test work. So much thx again!
          hmm, the Blender unit is also used to be one issue for me, I always quite not understand the scale unit on the scene with my mesh. So I did scale my mesh quite huge in the scene lol. With your words I have a new understanding on this point. I will test some later.
          en, Reinhard seems cool, I prefer 0.3 or little bigger.
          Anyway, quite thx for your help

            Just dont forget:
            Don't scale objects in Object mode - scale their mesh in Edit mode.

            Btw, write an email to chaosgroup about participating in V-Ray For Maya beta program to get the latest build.

                ok, I will never scare them in OM again in the future
                but the demo beta has render size limit, not cool for me```

                And after check with your suggest, I rerendered this kitchen, and also two old works~ hope your C&C

                  Eh, me again.

                  I looked at the histogram of that last rendering and there are absolutely no pure blacks in it... You should use the whole tonal range, meaning adjust the levels and just bring up the black level to the edge of the huge falloff in the grey area (about 28 starts to look good). Your wood is looking more greyish and dull, in all honesty. I really liked the punchiness and warmness of the first image, gamma be damned.

                  Speaking of gamma: in your Colour Mapping settings, I noticed you have your Gamma and Input Gamma both set to one. Try using 2.2 and 0.454 respectively and see what that does. Ideally you shouldn't have to adjust the gamma of your rendering in Photoshop or Blender.

                  Same thing goes for the table scene: it's a bit too washed out and bland. Try the Gamma thing and see what happens!

                  Keep up the good work!
