2.49 scene

Hello everybody,
This is a project which I decided to finalize in 2.49 although for today I can see all the features needed by me are generaly available in V25 integration. (Except for proper greenery shaping/distributing which is in fact Blender2.5 itself issue).

Anyway, long way still to go with the scene as it still needs street level design, iluminationg appartments, introducing life into composition and so on..

It's intended to be heavily Photoshop treated. So the tones are 80% tweaked in post production..

Really nice render. Great reflections in the glass. I think outdoor renders are the most difficult, and you have a great example here.

Maybe little more transparency and specular on the grass?

This is actually no more a WiP (result is below).
So that finalizes my 2.49 activities as I'm gearing up my 2.5 workflow for the next jobs I have in cue.

(One issue with artifacts that I was completely unable to solve. Maybe the reason is, it was modeled outside of Blender and importing introduced mesh imperfections)

Soulofsound, thanks for your words. You were right. I decided though not to change the grass because, in fact a kind of dry and strong strands seemed to me as something natural in the seaside scennery... Well of course this is only me who knows that Baltic Sea shore is 400m behind the spectator of this scene... So that's ideological approach.. Anyway.. You know.. Licentia poetica...

I think it looks absolutely gorgeous. I for one would want to live in one of those.

Nice image...I like the overall atmosphere in the scene, with the background sky and the swamp/lake thing in the middle.
Good work.

It would be nice to see some people walking around or sitting on their terraces.

Anyways, looking forward to youre projects with 2.5 =)
